I….Honestly cant tell if this is ment to be offensive or trying (key word..TRYING) to be progressive for back then? like- yes they have him be a sterio type but- at least hes not mean or shown to be a hateful character. No one insulted him. And the only reason why people leave the bar is because he accidentally gets transformed into this big grumbling monster. Him turning back into his flamboyant and happy self is the solution and it saves the bartendors life. So in a way- i..geuss you could interpret this as a postive attempt? Im not sure honestly!
